Ammonite Fossil Absinthe Spoon - Made to Order

Ammonite Fossil Absinthe Spoon - Made to Order

$380.00

This absinthe spoon is hand-sawn and engraved in solid sterling silver. It features an ammonite fossil motif in the style of Art Nouveau.

This type of spoon is used for preparing absinthe in the traditional method developed in the 1800’s. Absinthe drips involve slowly dripping ice water over a sugar cube on a perforated spoon into the absinthe below to form a cloudy “louche”.

Size:

This spoon was created to fit standard pontarlier glasses (3.375" (8.6 cm) diameter), but will work well with glasses of similar sizes.

The total length of the spoon is 6 & 3/4” (17.5 cm), and the section that covers the glass is 3 & 3/4” (9.7 cm) from the notch to the tip of the spoon. The widest section measures 2” (5 cm).

Please allow 6-10 weeks for me to create and ship your absinthe spoon. It will arrive with an anti-tarnish storage bag and polishing cloth.
